Actress Drew Barrymore has signed up to direct her second feature film which is a romantic comedy “How to Be Single”.
“It is expected to have a feel similar to ‘He’s Just Not That In To You’ and ‘Valentine’s Day’ with a large ensemble cast and a multi-layered story about the love lives of a number of New Yorkers over 10 years,” contactmusic.com quoted her as saying.
According to report, no stars has been announced. The movie is an adaptation of a novel of the same title by Liz Tuccillo.
The 36-year-old has previously directed “Whip It” starring Ellen Page and Kristen Wiig in 2009.

Actress Amanda Seyfried says she feels more comfortable with her body now, but still finds it awkward watching her own nude scenes.
“It’s fun to finally feel sexy. I mean, I’ve been disconnected with the sexual side of me. I know it’s in me, but it doesn’t really reveal itself very often in my personal life. Which I do find problematic! And I am working through that, and finding that side of me,” contactamusic.com quoted her as saying.
“But I don’t know what to do with my hands when those sex scenes come on! I usually cover my eyes when I’m doing something. So it’s really awkward for me. I can never really wrap my head around how I’m supposed to behave, or how I’m supposed to feel,” she added.

Longoria says dealing with divorce has been hard

Actress Eva Longoria says she still feels like crying every time she thinks about her unsuccessful marriage with basketball player Tony Parker.
The “Desperate Housewives” star, who ended her three-year marriage with Parker in January, admits dealing with their separation is still “hard”, reports contactmusic.com.
“I’m kind of having to find new patterns because I’m not used to having (so much time) – I’m used to always being on a plane and flying to a basketball game. It’s been, well, every time I talk about it, I want to cry. It’s been hard. Very hard. I’m just trying to get through it as gracefully as possible without any drama,” she told Allure magazine.
The actress, who is being linked with Penelope Cruz’s singer brother Eduardo, welcomes the changes still to come.
“I’m in a transition stage, settling into a new routine, and I welcome it,” she said.

Brand, Perry planning second honeymoon

British comedian Russell Brand is planning to take his wife Katy Perry on a second honeymoon to Far East.
“Russell is desperate to treat Katy. Even if a great film role comes up he will turn it down for the trip as he wants more of a work/life balance and to enjoy his new wife,” thesun.co.uk quoted a source as saying.
The couple is said to be considering starting family soon but their friend say the couple want to spend some quality time together first before settling down.
“Katy’s been saying how she’ll want a break after the tour she is on. And while they’d love a beach holiday, they also want to be adventurous and see more of the world before they start a family,” the source added.
The couple got married in India last year and went to Maldives for their first honeymoon.

Vanessa Hudgens in another nude photo scandal

Actress Vanessa Hudgens has reportedly found herself in the middle of yet another nude photo scandal.
According to New York Daily News, a number of explicit photographs of Hudgens began circulating online this week that shows her kissing another woman.
Hudgens’ images were also leaked online in 2007 and 2009 which left the actress very upset.
The new set of explicit pictures also has images of 18-year-old actress Alexa Nikolas, who is known for her role on the Nickelodeon series “Zoey 101″ with Jamie Lynn Spears, reports contactmusic.com.

Lindsay Lohan quits smoking

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has quit smoking and is reportedly trying to lead a healthier lifestyle since being released from rehab.
The actress completed a three-month court-ordered programme at the Betty Ford rehabilitation clinic in January and is determined to follow a strict regime, reports contactmusic.com.
She has been working out with a personal trainer every morning after giving up the habit a week ago.
The 24-year-old was recently granted permission by the court to leave Los Angeles and travel to New York with her family.
Lindsay’s mother Dina revealed that the family was delighted that the actress has been allowed to leave California to return home with them for a holiday.
“We are all excited that the family gets to all be together in New York,” said Dina.

Hudgens says Efron kept her grounded!

Actress Vanessa Hudgens says that her ex-boyfriend Zac Efron helped her stay grounded.
“The relationship kept me grounded. And because I was with someone who knew me so well, I didn’t need to try to be someone that I’m not,” usmagazine.com quoted Hudgens as saying.
The two broke up in December last year after dating for five years.
“Long-distance relationships are hard no matter what. When you don’t have face-to-face time, it’s just different. Having an iPhone helped but it wasn’t the same,” she said.
Hudgens has no regrets about spending nearly five years with Efron.
“We grew up together. It was nice to have someone share all those experiences with. It was good,” she said.

The “American Idol” judge will front the line’s new advertisements. The brand’s boss Salvador Tour claims Lopez was a great “illustration” for them.

Jay Baruchel engaged

Actor Jay Baruchel has confirmed he is engaged to his girlfriend, actress Alison Pill.
According to the Toronto Star, “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” actor proposed to Alison over the holidays in Montreal.
“I bought her a 180-year-old Victorian wedding band and I was going to give it as a nice kind of gift for Christmas,” said Baruchel.
“I decided in that moment I might was well call a spade a space and I’m pretty sure my words were ‘f*** it; do you want to marry me?’ to which she said, ‘yes, of course’,” he added.
The couple, who have been dating when they were filming his upcoming hockey movie “Goon”, plan to marry in September 2012, reports aceshowbiz.com.

Okay: Showbiz Pizza Rock-afire Explosion Band Programmed To Play Other Songs

Remember Showbiz Pizza? It was like Chuck E. Cheese's, but with some southern flair. It was the total awesome when I was six. They had a playground with slides, a ball pit, all kinds of video games, pizza, and an animatronic band called the Rock-afire Explosion. You'd settle down to eat some greasy-ass pizza and watch the show while your dad chugged pitchers of beer and stole your game tokens. Well now two of the original programmers of the show are programming the long-defunct band to play new songs. This video is of "Love in this club" by Usher, but there are two by Madonna and Shakira after the jump. You definitely didn't see these songs performed at Showbiz as a kid! You did, however, probably see a turd in the ballpit.*
*And it was mine! That pizza always ran right through me.

Faithful readers will know I am not even close to finished exploiting my painful job experiences at the Chuck E. Cheese in the Bergen Mall for Gizmodo fodder. God I hate that place. When I was growing up, the cooler place to be with way better pizza and far better games was ShowBiz Pizza. ShowBiz also had another advantage: this terrifying but captivating animitronic musical band called Rocka-fire Explosion, which is the subject of this documentary. Fuck Chuck E. Cheese and fuck ShowBiz Pizza. Oooh, robot gorillas and robot dogs. Please. Robot bears playing hillbilly instruments. That's what I'm talking about.
Without a doubt, the greatest robot animals of all time were the Country Bear Jamboree.
There was of course Henry, who headed the band. He sometimes wore a park ranger's hat and an "old camp t-shirt". Do you know why he wore people clothes? Because he ate the people.
Then there was "Liver Lips" McGrowl who has very large lips. Don't tell him that. The last person who did is now missing most of the flesh from his face. He's also an Elvis impersonator, and a damned good one. I say that because I don't want him to eat me.
There's also Wendell on mandolin. He has a massive overbite and buck teeth. He is still very dangerous and ate five kids in the last month before they shut down the attraction.
There's Teddi Barra who rides on her swing, which is decorated with pink roses. She is a brown bear and wears a blue hat with a pink feather as well as a long pink boa around her neck. She dresses like a blind transsexual, but if you don't compliment her "fashion sense", she'll maul you.
Ernest is a brown bear who plays the fiddle. He wears a derby and a red polka-dot bowtie around his neck. Ordinarily, only young boys should wear bow ties, but, given the blood on Ernest's claws, I make an exception for him.
Then there's Terrence (aka Shaker), a tall bear with tan fur who wears a miner's cap and plays the guitar. The miner's cap makes me think that companies used to employ him as a strikebreaker. If you were staring at a snarling bear, would you still picket?
Big Al- Big Al is the fattest bear. He is grey with a light grey belly and wears a tan hat and a red vest. He plays an always out-of-tune guitar. That's because he uses it to bludgeon people.
There is also the Sun Bonnet Trio and Gomer who never sings but instead plays his piano, which has a honeycomb on top of it. He is considered Henry's right-hand bear. He is tall and brown and wears a collar with a blue tie.
I think that one of them played the jug and another played the washboard. It doesn't really matter because invariably, some tot would yell out how s/he wanted a stuffed teddy bear, which would send the robot bears off the deep end in a homicidal rage. Don't ask me why Disney kept the attraction open so long; personally, I think he secretly hated the customers.
